New Jersey Debarment List

Overview and guidance for this database. Use SecureEPLS to screen quickly and confidently.

The State of New Jersey Debarment List is contains agency debarment, suspension and disqualification actions taken pursuant to Executive Orders #34 (1976) and #189 (1988).

  • Why it matters: Debarred or suspended vendors may not receive state awards; contracting can void procurements and lead to penalties.
  • What to verify: Legal business name and DBAs, FEIN, last known address, action type (debarment/suspension/disqualification), and start/end dates.
  • Update cadence: Updated as actions occur. Screen prior to award, at renewal, and at least monthly for active vendors.
  • Compliance tips:
    • Screen primes and subs; include flow‑down requirements in contracts.
    • Store copies of solicitation screenshots/files that show status at time of award.
    • Set renewal reminders to re‑screen before any extension or modification.
