Washington, D.C. Excluded Parties List
Overview and guidance for this database. Use SecureEPLS to screen quickly and confidently.
Pursuant to the DC Code 2-359.07, the District of Columbia may debar or suspend contractors from consideration
for award of contracts or subcontracts. This Excluded Parties List categorizes parties that have been
suspended or debarred by the Chief Procurement Officer. While they are debarred or suspended, the District
will not solicit offers from, award contracts to, renew, or otherwise extend contracts with, or consent to
subcontracts with entities or individuals that appear on the Excluded Parties List.
- Why it matters: Debarred or suspended vendors may not receive state awards; contracting can
void procurements and lead to penalties.
- What to verify: Legal business name and DBAs, FEIN, last known address, action type
(debarment/suspension/disqualification), and start/end dates.
- Update cadence: Updated as actions occur. Screen prior to award, at renewal, and at least
monthly for active vendors.
- Compliance tips:
- Screen primes and subs; include flow‑down requirements in contracts.
- Store copies of solicitation screenshots/files that show status at time of award.
- Set renewal reminders to re‑screen before any extension or modification.
